Credits and sources

The sources behind the charts and tools on this site.

Astronomy

Planet positions on the public charts come from Astronomy Engine 2.1.19 by Don Cross. It is open source under the MIT licence, and the file is self-hosted on this site.

Chiron is read from a precomputed table of NASA JPL Horizons positions stored on this site. The table is public domain, solution JPL#171, and covers 1899 to 2101. Ceres, Pallas, Juno, Vesta, and the other numbered asteroids are read from another precomputed Horizons table stored on this site. That table runs from 1 November 1898 to 17 November 2101. A visitor's browser does not contact JPL.

House systems (Placidus, whole sign, equal, and Porphyry), the Ascendant, the Midheaven, and the lunar nodes are Pythic Cosmos’s own code. They are not part of Astronomy Engine.

Software

PDF files are built with jsPDF 2.5.1, self-hosted. Copyright 2010–2021 James Hall and 2015–2021 yWorks GmbH. The permission text shipped with the file is the MIT licence.

Images

The botanical plates on the public pages were made with AI image generation (ChatGPT) in October 2026 for Pythic Cosmos. They are not public-domain scans. The serpent mark in the header, the footer, and the report flourish is original line art.
